Our initial mission is simple in concept: to foster and nurture a community of Veterans within the greater Wilmington, NC, area. In other words, to connect our “TRIBE.” We are moving toward this goal by spreading renewed public awareness of the Veteran Suicide epidemic while creating a database of special interest groups, including trained counselors, to help when times get tough. Focusing on our immediate area helps maintain physical accessibility. It’s a BOOTS-ON-THE-GROUND RESPONSE that combats the feeling of isolation veterans experience.
Our ultimate vision is to develop a physical location where Veterans and their families can gather freely without stress around various activities, classes, meals, and a shared space.
